What Placitas roofs face
At roughly 5,500 to 6,500 feet on the north side of the Sandias, Placitas gets more sun, more wind and sharper temperature swings than the valley below. Homes are spread across open hillsides with little to block the weather. Roofs take UV all day, wind gusts that lift edges and flashing, and monsoon storms that can bring hail.
The roofs we replace most
Flat roofs behind parapets
On pueblo-revival and contemporary adobe-style homes. Usually sprayed foam or a TPO or modified membrane.
Pitched roofs
Standing-seam metal on territorial and contemporary homes, plus shingle and tile.
Custom homes, custom roofs
A lot of Placitas homes were built one at a time, with several roof levels, clerestory windows, skylights, portals and parapets that step up and down. Each joint between those pieces is a place water can get in. Replacing the roof is the time to get every one of them detailed right.
Our replacement process
- Estimate on the roof — surface, decking where visible, parapets, canales, skylights, solar mounts.
- Written proposal — system, thickness or product, removal, deck repair pricing, flashing and schedule.
- Permit — handled for you.
- Removal and repair — failed layers off, damaged decking replaced.
- New roof — installed with new flashing at every wall, curb and penetration.
- Cleanup — debris hauled, nails picked up with magnets.

Questions homeowners ask
Do you work on hillside lots with steep driveways?
Yes. We plan deliveries and equipment around access and tell you ahead of time if a smaller truck is needed.
Can you work around my solar panels?
Yes. Panels often need to be removed and reset by a solar company; we coordinate the timing.
How long will a replacement take?
Many homes take a few days; larger custom roofs with several levels take longer.
Who pulls the permit?
We take care of it.
