Sun and dust
At Placitas elevation, UV wears coatings faster than in the valley, and wind leaves a film of dust and sand on the roof. Both shorten coating life. That's why cleaning and inspection are half of any recoat.
What a recoat includes
- Inspect and mark blisters, cracks, bird damage and wet spots
- Repair foam or membrane damage
- Pressure-clean dust and debris
- Prime where needed
- Seal parapets, canales and penetrations
- Apply coating to specified thickness
If you harvest rainwater
Coatings vary in how suitable they are for roofs that feed cisterns. Tell us your setup so we choose accordingly.
When to schedule
Dry days with mild temperatures and light wind. Late spring and early fall are often best; summer work starts early to avoid monsoon afternoons.
